Abstract:

Species in the genus Castanea Mill. are one of the worthwhile species in the Hyrcanian forest of west Guilan (N Iran) with low region such as Siahmazgi, Ghalerodkhan and Visrod. that do not have good condition by reason of human interfering and disease. They have varying economic importance as nut tree crops, therefore, DNA barcoding technique can be a straightforward method for taxonomic status appointment of the genus Castanea Mill. in the north of Iran. In this research, six individuals from three relict populations of Castanea in western regions of Hyrcanian forest (Guilan province) were selected and amplified for plastid trnH-psbA region.

phylogeography and genetic diversity of the lesser mouse- eared bat (myotis blythii) in iran

in current study, 63 samples of bat populations collected from differ regions were used for evaluating the geographic variations. twenty cranial and dental characters for traditional morphometric and landmarks method on the ventral, dorsal skull and mandible for geometry morphometric studies were used. statistical analyses of traditional morphometric and geometry morphometric data indicated low...

Phylogenetic Analysis of Some Luffa Genotypes Based on the sequence of intergenic region of trnH-psbA

Luffa (Luffa cylindrica) is a plant from the Cucurbitaceae family that grows mostly in tropical and subtropical regions, as well as in most regions of Iran. In this research, the genetic diversity of nine native and non-native genotypes of L. cylindrica was investigated through the evaluation of the chloroplast trnH-psbA intergenic region (IGS). After sampling the young leaves, DNA extraction w...

Phylogeographic patterns of Calophyllum Braziliense Camb. (Calophyllaceae) based on the psbA-trnH cpDNA locus

Background Past climate changes have severely influenced the current distribution of species and their genetic diversity. Phylogeography is the study of the principles and processes governing the geographic distributions of genealogical lineages [1]. South America has the world’s largest area of swamps, floodplains and wetlands in general [2]. Brazil’s major wetlands cover 2% of the country’s h...

on translation of politeness strategies in dialogues involving female characters in translations and retranslations of novels translated before and after the islamic revolution of iran and their effects on the image of women: a polysystem theory approach

abstract reception environment has considerable effects on accepting a translation. as the expectations of a target culture and its values and needs change throughout history, its criteria for accepting a translation or rejecting it will change accordingly (gentzler, 2001). the expectations of iran, as the reception environment in the present study, have changed after the islamic revolution. i...

Phylogenetic relationships of Pterocarya (Juglandaceae) with an emphasis on the taxonomic status of Iranian populations using ITS and trnH-psbA sequence data

Pterocarya fraxinifolia (Lam.) Spach., a relict tree species of the Juglandaceae family, is native to the Great Caucasus, Anatolia, and to the Hyrcanian forests of the southern Azerbaijan and Northern Iran. In this study, the phylogenetic relationship of the species, sampled in selected Iranian populations, and the global biogeography of the genus Pterocarya were addressed. Leaves were collecte...
